ISLE Theater Company

Description

ISLE Theater Company bridges communities through storytelling in Downeast Maine.

Founded in 2020 by Marvin Merritt IV and Anna Fitzgerald, ISLE Theater Company began as the artistic duo ANNA + MARVIN after its two founders graduated from Harvard University and were galvanized to make safe, accessible theater in a tumultuous time. After a successful first season of GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES at Moss Ledge Cottage and DO NOT MOVE STONES at the Settlement Quarry, their collaboration has expanded, resulting in the creation of a new Maine theater company.

ISLE Theater Company is dedicated to making professional, community-driven theater. ISLE stages its shows in unconventional spaces to connect its audience with new places, new people, and new perspectives.

2022 Plans

For their 2022 season, ISLE Theater Company is producing an original medieval-period comedy at Horsepower Farm in August and an intergenerational storytelling event in October.
