A large, dense conifer native to South Dakota. A geographical strain
of white spruce. State tree of South Dakota. Cones attract songbirds in
winter.
Crown Height - 30 to 60 feet
Crown Width - 15 to 25 feet
Root System -fibrous, shallow and wide spreading.
Drought and alkaline tolerant. Full sunlight.
