Smooth Sumac
(Rhus glabra)

A large, loose, open-spreading shrub with a flat crown. usually grows in masses and suckers profusely. Outstanding red fall color. Similar to Staghorn Sumac but shorter.

Crown Height-- 5 to 15 feet
Crown Width-- 10 to 15 feet

Root System - Fibrous, spreading, suckering.

Adapted to a variety of soils.
