Scotch Pine
(Pinus sylvestris)

A medium to large tree, pyramidal when young and becoming more rounded and open with age. Orange and brown peeling bark. Fast growing. Introduced from Europe and Asia.

Crown Height - 25 to 50 feet
Crown Width - 20 to 35 feet

Root System -Shallow rooted but forms taproot on dry sites.

Does not tolerate flooding. Not very drought resistant, but requires a well-drained site. Full sun.
