William Raabe is the 2006 Bon Homme County Conservation Farmer of the Year. Presenting the award is NRCS District Conservationist Mark Rohlfing (left) from the Tyndall Field Office and Bon Homme Conservation District Board Chairman Stanley Schuch (right). Bill operates 2253 acres located northwest of Tyndall, of which 578 acres is in grass for hay or grazing and 1675 acres is in cropland. Bill has installed the following conservation practice: 12.8 acres windbreak; 71.3 acres grass seeding; 5203 lineal ft of pipeline; 1 pumping plant; 3 tanks.
