| Monty and Matt, father and son, operate 800 acres in Bon Homme County. Their operation consists of running cow/calf pairs on 350 acres of grazing land and rotating grain crops and legumes across 450 acres of cropland. The Smith’s have completed the following conservation practices on their operation: 3000 lineal feet of pipelines; four tank installations for livestock water, four acres of CRP tree planting, 75 acres of prescribed grazing paddocks 4-5 acres in size and 450 acres of reduced tillage on cropland.
